A driver’s dash camera reportedly captured the tense moment when a 2-year-old girl in her car seat fell out of a moving vehicle in Minnesota.
According to KMSP, motorist Chad Cheddar Mock was driving on Minnesota Street Monday morning when he spotted the toddler falling out the car from the rear driver’s side and landing in the middle of the road. Mock quickly exited his vehicle and tended to the child as the vehicle she fell out of drove away.
Police said the toddler’s mother was driving at the time. Mock said a woman returned on foot to retrieve the child.
The news station reported that the toddler was properly strapped into her car seat — but the car seat wasn’t attached to the vehicle’s seat.
Though the child wasn’t injured, authorities are reportedly considering charging the mother with child endangerment and child restraint system not fastened.
