Authorities with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee confirmed an arrest has been made in connection with a missing 14-year-old from Madisonville.
ABC 11 reports that Rick Lavoie, spokesperson for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, announced that an arrest was made at around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, in connection with the teen’s disappearance. Lavoie didn’t expand on the details and did not name the suspect.
However, according to a Monroe County jail booking report, the girl’s adoptive father, Randall Lee Pruitt, was arrested at 2:33 p.m. Thursday, on charges of rape. Meanwhile, the girl still has not been found.
“No other information can be released at this time due to compromising the integrity of the investigation,” Monroe County Sheriff Tommy Jones said in reference to Randall Pruitt’s arrest.
The teen was last seen on January 13 at her family home in Madisonville, Tennessee, at around 11 p.m. One of her two cellphones pinged close to Corbin, Kentucky, on January 14 at 5:30 a.m. Corbin is around 130 miles from Madisonville. Both phones are now inactive and Savannah hasn’t been active on social media since she disappeared.
She’s described as a white female who stands 5-feet-3-inches tall and weighs around 110 pounds. She has blue eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department at 423-442-3911.
