Authorities in Pennsylvania say a woman selected a perverse form of therapy while her boyfriend was behind bars.
According to the New York Post, 34-year-old Glenn James Marr was arrested on suspicion of obstruction by giving police false information last year and his girlfriend allegedly coped by seeking out a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.
Reports indicate it was Marr who initially brought the alleged affair to the attention of authorities, later recanting the testimony he said he invented to “get revenge” on Leanora Propes.
Investigators interviewed the alleged victim, who initially denied having sex with Propes but later reportedly told police that he had been intimate with her on four occasions during Marr’s incarceration.
A Scranton Police Department report shows that Propes admitted having sex with the teen, blaming the transgression on the fact that she was “lonely and depressed her boyfriend was away in prison,” as reported by Penn Live.
As of the latest updates available, Propes and Marr were both free on bond. They each had court appearances scheduled for next week.
WNEP cited court documents indicating Propes is expected to face criminal charges releated to statutory sexual assault.
