Authorities in Oklahoma say the manager of a Tulsa-area Arby’s restaurant shot and killed a customer she claimed had been abusive toward her during a prior transaction.
According to Fox News, 25-year-old Deionna Young was arrested Monday on suspicion of murder in the first degree following the incident on Saturday.
Police reports indicate the victim, 25-year-old Desean Tallent, arrived at the location earlier in the day, at which time Young claimed he shouted profanities and spit at her during an interaction.
The manager said she told him to leave, which he did. But he reportedly returned for a short period before driving away from the restaurant.
Young allegedly chased him down, firing her gun into the vehicle and striking Tallent in the torso, inflicting the fatal injuries.
He was able to drive a short distance before crashing the car into a nearby Walmart. He was pronounced dead after arriving at an area hospital a short time later.
As of Tuesday, Young remained behind bars without bond.
The owner of the franchise location issued a statement through a spokesperson that the business will be cooperating with authorities throughout their investigation.
