Two people have been killed in what appears to be a mass shooting event at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
ABC 7 reports that a gunman, believed to be a UNC student, walked into an administration building an opened fire early Tuesday evening.
Six people were reportedly shot, and two of those were fatally injured. One suspect is in custody, and the school was placed on lockdown following the reports of an active shooter.
A police source told WSOC-TV that the suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Trystan A. Terrell.
Fox News appears to have obtained video of authorities taking the suspect into custody.
This is a developing story. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
