DISTURBING VIDEO: Disgruntled passenger fatally shoves elderly man off bus for telling her to ‘be nicer’

On Tuesday, police in Nevada released surveillance footage reportedly showing a woman violently pushing an elderly man off a bus, resulting in his death a month later.

Asking witnesses to come forward, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has publicized the March 21 video depicting the fatal encounter between Cadesha Bishop, 25, and Serge Fournier, 74. Witnesses at the scene told police that Bishop was swearing at other bus riders when Fourier told her “to be nicer to the passengers,” according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Bishop is accused of pushing Fournier as he exited the bus near Fremont and 13th Streets—causing him to fall and land on his head. While leaving the bus, Bishop put both hands on his back and pushed him “with enough force that he never touched any of the steps,” an arrest report said.

Fournier died on April 23, a month after suffering the fall. The Clark County Coroner’s Office determined his death was caused by blunt force torso injuries related to the push and ruled it a homicide, according to the news outlet.

Bishop was arrested on May 6 and charged with murder on an elderly-vulnerable person. She remains jailed on $100,000 bail pending a May 23 court hearing.
