Three people arrested in connection to the murder of 19-year-old Marlen Ochoa-Lopez are set to appear in court on Friday for a bond hearing.

CBS News reports that the three suspects — Clarisa Figueroa, 46; Desiree Figueroa, 25; and Piotr Bobak, 40, are scheduled to appear in a Chicago courthouse on Friday when a judge will determine if they are eligible for bond.

Clarisa and Desiree, who are mother and daughter, are both charged with first-degree murder in slaying of Ochoa-Lopez, who police say was murdered on April 23 before her baby, who was due on May 5, was cut out of her body. According to the report, Desiree Figueroa confessed to helping her mother strangle Ochoa-Lopez. Police had earlier said that the 19-year-old woman died of ligature strangulation.

Bobak, the elder woman’s boyfriend, has been charged with concealment of a homicide.

Julie Contreras, a student pastor at Lincoln United Methodist Church, spoke on behalf of the family as relatives gathered in lobby of the courthouse Friday ahead of the bond hearing.

“If this institution here in the county of Cook represents the rule of law, giving them no bond not only helps this family, it helps the public security in the city of Chicago, the nation, and probably even the world,” Contreras said, according to the report.

The infant, who the family has named Yavani Yadiel Lopez, was transported to the hospital on April 23 following a 911 call from the home where Ochoa-Lopez was murdered, when Clarisa Figueroa reportedly claimed she had given birth to Ochoa-Lopez’s baby.

The infant is reportedly on life support at Advocate Christ Medical Center, and has no brain activity.
