Authorities in Florida say a man was arrested on suspicion of arranging to meet someone he believed to be an 8-year-old girl for sex at a hotel in Orlando.
According to WSPA, 40-year-old Frederick Pohl Jr. was an employee of the Magic Kingdom theme park at Disney World when he communicated online with an undercover federal agent posing as a young girl.
The suspect also allegedly believed he had communicated with the child’s father to set up a meeting at the area hotel.
Pohl allegedly sent explicit images of himself to the undercover agent and had incriminating items with him when authorities met him at the prearranged location.
A criminal complaint claims he brought with him a pink girl’s dress and condoms.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida issued a statement confirming the Clermont man was a Disney World employee.
Pohl is expected to face criminal charges including attempted enticement of a minor and transferring obscene material to a minor.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing and urge anyone with relevant information to contact Homeland Security Investigations by calling 1-866-DHS-2ICE.
