Teen allegedly lures young man in for sex so three others could rob him. She’s now facing murder charges [Police]

A Texas woman who allegedly helped rob a man by enticing him with sex is now facing a murder charge after the encounter went awry, People magazine reports.

According to the report Sydnee Whitaker, 18, was arrested on Monday and charged with capital murder following the killing of Adrian Wells, 21, whom police found dead of a gunshot wound around 11:30 p.m. on May 2 in North Dallas.

Investigators reportedly allege that Whitaker offered Wells sex so three men could rob him at gunpoint. An affidavit filed in the case obtained by the magazine says Whitaker “committed the offense by actively participating in the home invasion robbery.”

Police on Thursday also arrested Jaroy Rogers, 21, and Tyrone Williams, 22, in connection with the killing. Both have been charged with capital murder, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Two of Wells’ friends, who were inside the apartment watching television at the time of the shooting, reportedly told police that three armed men forced Wells into the apartment after he had talked with Whitaker outside. The friends were also robbed.

When one of the suspects realized another unidentified person was in the apartment, “the suspects started shooting,” according to court records obtained by the newspaper.

Wells died at the scene and one of his friends was also shot and hospitalized.

Police reportedly found that Whitaker met Wells the previous day. On the day of the shooting, she texted him saying she wanted to see him at his apartment so they could have sex.

She also allegedly called Wells to say she “wanted to come see him and have sex with him,” according to the report, citing an affidavit.

A friend who was listening in on the conversation thought the situation “didn’t sound right” because Wells had just met Whitaker.

The friend reportedly told investigators that he thinks Whittaker used sex so she could “lure” Wells outside and allow the three other men to “kidnap and rob him,” court documents state.

Wells’ two roommates said when they arrived home that evening, they saw a silver Jeep that was not familiar to them in front of the apartment’s garage. Inside the apartment, the roommates saw two males and then heard gunshots after they entered their unit, prompting a call to 911.

Witnesses saw Whitaker running from the apartment during the shooting. When someone asked if she was OK, Whitaker allegedly responded “no” and kept going when asked if she needed help.

Whitaker reportedly contacted the police department on May 4 and agreed to be interviewed, but she didn’t show up.

According to police, Whitaker allegedly told her family that she had driven the men to Wells’ apartment so they could buy drugs. Wells’ claimed she stayed in the vehicle while the men went into the apartment.

Whitaker is being held on $500,000 bail in the Dallas County Jail. She has not yet entered a plea in the case, jail records show.

Rogers has also been charged with drug possession, engaging in organized crime and theft. A judge set his bail at $607,500.

It was not immediately clear Saturday whether Williams’ bail was set.
