Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. is reportedly remaining upbeat as he faces sexual harassment allegations — even allegedly joking about the pending charges as he conversed with a group inside a hotel lobby in New York City this week.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, an incident reportedly caught on camera at a Manhattan rooftop bar led to Gooding’s arrest last week.
According to an exclusive Page Six report, a bystander at the Bowery Hotel heard the “Jerry Maguire” costar dismissing the validity of a complainant who accused him of grabbing her breast.
“He said the woman fabricated the whole thing and that the truth would come out,” the unnamed individual said.
According to the report, Gooding went on to make an apparent joke about the entire ordeal.
“It was bizarre that he was in the main lounge of a hotel and he was talking about it,” the source told Page Six, adding that the actor “was making jokes and asking his friend if there were security cameras.”
Gooding was at the hotel lounge waiting for another friend, the witness claimed, and “he and his friend were trying to find a place to go out after.”
The star’s attorney says his ability to “appropriately interact ad socialize as he normally does” is made possible due to his “confidence in the legal system and his legal representation.”
