Authorities in New Jersey say a 27-year-old mother was found fatally stabbed in Camden County last week — and investigators suspect her twin sister was responsible.
According to the U.K. Daily Mail, the Ramirez sisters were pictured mere hours before the murder posing with each other and two other individuals as they appeared to be hanging out and having fun.
The alleged victim was reportedly posting photos to Facebook shortly before 4 a.m. on Saturday; her body was discovered inside the Centennial Village apartment complex at about 5:30 a.m.
Anna Ramirez was subsequently arrested on suspicion of aggravated manslaughter of her twin sister, Amanda.
The suspect was later booked into Camden County Correctional Facility, reports show. As of the most recent updates available, she had not yet appeared in court to determine if she would be granted bond.
Police initially responded to the apartment complex in response to the report of an unconscious person at the location. Upon arrival, officers reported finding the victim with an apparent stab wound to her chest.
The nursing assistant was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later, officials say.
Additional details about the nature of the murder or a suspected motive were not immediately available.
The victim’s loved ones have organized an online fundraiser to assist in covering her final expenses.
