During the search of a residential property believed to be connected to the disappearance of 23-year-old Mackenzie Lueck, detectives with shovels were seen digging holes in the yard of the Salt Lake City home.
KSL reports that the station’s news cameras saw detectives digging up the yard at a residence belonging to a yet-unidentified man who is a graduate of the University of Utah, where Leuck is a student. She has not been since since June 17 since she took a Lyft from the Salt Lake City airport and was dropped off at a park, where she reportedly got into a vehicle with a man.
The news station also reportedly that Lueck’s friends notified police after seeing activity in the last day on her Instagram account. The account reportedly began following another account called “Fatherless” which has images of pornographic content.
The Salt Lake City police are holding a news conference with further updates on Thursday morning.
