A Michigan man who assaulted a Little Caesars employee over pizza toppings earlier this month was sentenced to 20 days in jail

– WXYZ: Livonia police said Joseph Thorpe 38, was angry over Italian seasoning on his pizza (instead of parmesan), and had called the restaurant to complain
– He arrived at the restaurant even more irate after employees told him he could get a refund
– The victim said she had a co-worker call police after Thorpe “threw his pizza on the counter [and] told me he was going to beat everyone’s butt in the store”
– Moments later, he’s seen reaching across the counter and smacking the clerk
– Though Thorpe fled the scene in a car that wasn’t registered to him, authorities tracked him down and charged him with assault and battery
