‘F*** you, I was just drunk’: Friend of murdered Ole Miss student Ally Kostial says Brandon Theesfeld mistreated her, was ‘super misogynistic’

A close friend of murdered University of Mississippi student Ally Kostial has shed more light on what appears to have been a troubled relationship between Kostial and her accused killer, 22-year-old Brandon Theesfeld.

Speaking to People magazine, a friend of Kostial’s who wished to remain anonymous described an unstable relationship that caused emotional turmoil for the 21-year-old St. Louis native, and characterized the suspect as misogynistic.

“I’ve been around him several times,” the friend told People.

“He was like the type of guy that, if you didn’t gibe with him, he’d be rude, he’d use his money to get things, he’d have six girls around the table and he’d sit back and laugh at them like a pig, he was super misogynistic.”

The friend said that Kostial was often upset about Theesfeld and the state of their relationship, and indicated that Theesfeld could be verbally abusive.

“He would tell her he loved her and then he’d say ‘F— you, I was just drunk, I don’t care about you,’” the friend said.

She was always down about him. I have all kinds of messages of her texting me paragraph after paragraph, asking me, ‘What do I do?’. She was texting all her friends asking for advice. It was hard for me to watch.

On July 20, a Lafayette County Sheriff’s Deputy on a routine patrol near Sardis Lake in Harmontown, which is about 30 miles from the Ole Miss campus in Oxford, discovered Kostial’s bullet-ridden body. Two days later, Theesfeld was arrested at a gas station in Memphis, and remains in custody as he awaits formal charges.

Theesfeld’s defense attorney told People that he expects his client to plead not guilty to murdering Kostial.

“Brandon comes from a good family, a good Christian home, his parents were divorced and have remarried and they all get along very well, and they have been very supportive of Brandon, and their hearts go out to the Kostial family and their loss,” Tony Farese said.

Numerous sources have claimed to CrimeOnline and other outlets that Kostial was pregnant with Theesfeld’s baby at the time of her murder, but those reports are unconfirmed.

“All she wanted was to be enough for him and for him to want her, and he quite literally was the death of her,” Kostial’s friend told People.
