Original Story
An AMBER Alert has been issued for an Indiana girl who police believe was taken against her will by a man who has a restraining order against him for stalking and harassing her.
NWI reports that 16-year-old Madison Elizabeth Yancy Eddlemon was last seen on Saturday morning at around 9 a.m. in Crown Point, about 138 miles northwest of Indianapolis.
Madison was last seen wearing blue jeans with tears in them, a black hoodie with white tribal designs and shin-high boots. She’s a white female who stands 5-feet-1-inches tall and weighs around 97 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year-old Alexander Martin Curry-Fishtorn is wanted for questioning in connection with her disappearance. He’s described as a white male who stands 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs around 158 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a dark gray 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt with Indiana license plate number, 645 RIS. If the suspect is spotted, police are asking people to not approach him, but call 911 instead.
Madison’s car was found abandoned at an intersection at Cleveland Street and Sherwood Drive early Saturday morning. Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr. said that the girl could be in “extreme danger.”
“I just want her home and safe,” Nichole Cain, Eddlemon’s mother, told the outlet. “If anyone knows anything, please call the police. I want my daughter back. That’s all I want.”
Cain said the suspect began stalking and harassing Madison in March, prompting them to file a restraining order against him. She said she has reasons to feel the man could harm her daughter.
Martinez said Curry-Fishtorn has both an active restraining order and charges of stalking and invasion of privacy against him.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact police immediately.
