Who did this? Dog recovering after found with her THROAT SLIT and mouth taped shut: Reports

Police are searching for the person who cruelly taped a dog’s mouth shut and slit her throat before tossing her on the side of an Ohio road.

Dani the dog, a beautiful Labrador, is going to be OK, thanks to a Madison Township resident who found her off of Trenton Franklin Road in Butler County on August 17, and immediately called for help, CNN reports.

“The canine’s muzzle (nose and mouth) was duct-taped shut and her throat cut. The canine was rushed to the veterinarian where a chip was located on the animal. The information on the chip came back to HART Rescue in Cincinnati,” Butler County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook.

HART Rescue told police that Dani was adopted out in 2011. The information is currently being investigated, police said.

“Please help us find out who did this. We will not tolerate these actions period. Not now or ever,” Sheriff Richard Jones tweeted on Friday.

Meanwhile, Dani is still recovering and expected to be fine, but she’s not quite ready for adoption and a new home yet.
