The 16-year-old girl who flew to London this weekend to meet an older man following a reported online relationship is set to be reunited with her parents, and authorities have made an arrest.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Victoria Grabowski went missing from Queens, New York, this weekend, and her family suspected that she had gone to London. Her uncle, Arkadiusz “Erick” Grabowski, told NBC News that her family discovered through searching cell phone records that she had been searching online for flights to London. The uncle also said that Victoria’s mother had seen her chatting online with an older male in England, but that the teen said he was just a friend.
After an international search, authorities found Victoria safe in Notthingham, England, which is over 100 miles north of London.
Sources with knowledge of the investigation told NBC News that the London Metropolitan Police arrested one man in connection with the case, but his identity is not yet known, and it is not clear how the teen girl traveled from the airport to Nottingham.
It is also unclear at this time if the Victoria will be traveling back to the U.S. or if her parents will meet her in the UK. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
