A Florida mother reported missing on Saturday after she disappeared six weeks ago with her four children has been found deceased in Georgia, authorities confirmed.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, detectives found the remains of 32-year-old Casei Jones near Brantley County, Georgia. The sheriff’s office wrote that “detectives are continuing their investigation regarding the missing children.”
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Jones disappeared from the Ocala area with her four children who range in ages from 1 to 10. Their family contacted police and said they were worried about their safety. The missing children have been named as:
- Cameron Bowers, 10
- Preston Bowers, 5
- Mercalli Jones, 3
- Aiyana Jones, 1
Detectives located Jones’ husband in Georgia, identified as Michael Wayne Jones Jr. Authorities took out a warrant for his arrest for second-degree homicide. He’s currently being interviewed.
