A Georgia man wanted for murder was apprehended Wednesday morning in Pennsylvania after he reportedly turned himself in.
CBS Pittsburgh reports that the GBI announced that 22-year-old Austin Stryker was arrested in Pittsburgh after around a week on the run. He was wanted in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Hannah Bender, of Dahlonega.
Authorities are working to extradite the suspect back to Georgia.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Bender was found buried in Forsyth County, Georgia, earlier this month, after a tipster led authorities to a shallow grave off Parks Road near Ga. 306. Her body was discovered in a wooded area, according to police.
Authorities arrested four additional people in connection with Bender’s death earlier this month. On Tuesday, police arrested Isaac Huff, 18 and Dylan Reid, 19. Both have been charged with concealing a death.
Stryker’s fiance, Elizabeth Donaldson, and 78-year-old Jerry Harper were both arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and concealment of a dead body.
Authorities said the relationship between Stryker and Bender remains unclear. However, this was not a random crime, and the pair did know each other, police said.
The story is developing. Check back for further details.
