A person of interest in the disappearance of a New Jersey woman who is also facing child pornography charges has been found dead.
Citing law enforcement sources, NBC News 4 reports that John Ozbilgen, 29, was found dead in his Freehold Township home of an apparent suicide. He is believed to have taken his own life overnight. Authorities have not yet released his cause of death.
Parze, 25, who reportedly worked as a makeup artist and a nanny, has not been seen since October 30. During the investigation into her disappearance, authorities reportedly found multiple images of children being sexually abused on Ozbilgen’s phone and charged him with child pornography. He was arrested and released on bail earlier this week. At a detention hearing Tuesday, prosecutors said that Ozbilgen sent numerous Parze angry, profanity-laced messages shortly before her disappearance, which went unreturned.
Parze and Ozbilgen had been in an on-again, off-again relationship. Parze reportedly filed a simple assault claim against him on September 23, and had told friends she was fearful of him as he continued to contact her following the domestic abuse allegations.
