Two Pennsylvania schoolchildren reportedly arrived home from school on Monday afternoon to find both of their parents dead in an apparent murder-suicide.
According to the report, police said two women, 38 and 50 years old, both had gunshot wounds in their head and chest, and that a handgun was found nearby.
“A friend of mine told me they ran into some children that were crying, and they ran back to the crossing guard to tell them that their parents were dead,” neighbor Cynthia Nottingham told the news station.
According to the report, police have determined that the woman died in a murder-suicide. The woman have not been identified and it is not known which one killed the other.
A neighbor said he saw the younger woman just a day before her death.
“I spoke to her, she’s always got a friendly smile, no hint of anything being wrong though,” Roland Johnson told WPVI.
