A woman and two children were all pronounced dead on Wednesday after they were found on a sidewalk near a parking garage in Boston.
WCVB reports that the unidentified woman and two children were found unresponsive on a sidewalk next to the Renaissance Park Garage Columbus Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency responders provided medical assistance and rushed them to a hospital, but all three were later pronounced dead.
Investigators appear to be focused on a vehicle on the top floor of the parking garage. According to multiple reports, two children’s car seats were found in the SUV.
“Today is a tragedy,” Boston Police Commissioner William Gross said at a news conference Wednesday. Authorities have not released the cause of death or the relationship between the woman and the children. According to WBZ, the children were both under the age of five.
