Desperate search for missing Massachusetts child after second child is pulled from icy river

Authorities in Massachusetts are searching for a child who they fear fell through ice in the Chicopee River.

Chicopee police officer Michael Wilk told Western Mass News that the family of two children called police to say that the boys had gone to play in the woods near the area of Fuller Road in Chicopee on Saturday but did not return home.

The boys remain unidentified but are reportedly 10 and 11 years old, and sources reportedly said that they are related.

One of the children was found in the water and rushed to a hospital. His condition is not known.

Authorities reportedly suspended the search overnight but it was expected to resume in the morning. Family members told the news outlet that they fear the second child is also in the water.

This is a developing story. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
