DEVELOPING: At least one dead, multiple injured in downtown Seattle shooting; 9-year-old boy among victims

A woman has died and a young child is among the injured victims in a mass shooting in Seattle on Wednesday night.

According to KOMO News, police are seeking at least one suspect, and possibly a second, after a shooting near a McDonald’s on 3rd Avenue and Pine Street in downtown Seattle.

Police reportedly told the news station that witnesses saw two men run down into a transit tunnel shortly after shots rang out at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

A witness told KOMO News that gunfire sounded as though it came from an automatic weapon.


The 9-year-old boy is reportedly in serious condition along with four adult victims. All were taken to the Harborview Medical Center. One of the adults, a 55-year-old female, is critically injured, and the other adult victims are in stable condition.

The deceased victim is reportedly an adult female between the age of 40 and 50 years old. Authorities have not identified the victims or named any suspects.
