An Alabama girl last seen getting into a Mercedes SUV Tuesday morning has been found safe, the Pelham Police Department said, and detectives are seeking a warrant for the arrest of a 24-year-old suspect for interference with custody.
Amberley Flores, 13, “willingly got into” the Mercedes near Green Park South Mobile Homes in Pelham, police said.
The teen was apparently found in the Huntsville area and was checked out at a north Alabama hospital, police said, “and she is doing okay.”
Rodrigo Ortega is the suspect in the girl’s disappearance, they said, and “he will be brought back to face charges as soon as possible.”

Police also said they plan to meet with Amberley after she is reunited with her family.
Late Wednesday, the department posted photographs of a dark-colored Mercedes SUV saying that they say Amberly “willingly got into.” Detectives are hoping to pry the license number off surveillance footage.
