The body of missing New Jersey woman Stephanie Parze has been found.
As the New York Post reports, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed in a Facebook post Monday that remains found in a wooded area in New Jersey on Sunday are that of the missing 25-year-old woman, who had not been seen since October 30 when she had a girl’s night out with relatives.
“It is with great sadness we announce that Stephanie Parze’s remains were recovered yesterday in Old Bridge,” the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office statement reads. “The Middlesex County ME [Medical Examiner] confirmed her identity this morning.”
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Parze’s on-again, off-again boyfriend John Ozbilgen, 29, was found hanged in an apparent suicide a Freehold Township home in November, after he was arrested and subsequently released on bail on child pornography charges. The child pornography evidence was found when authorities searched his home in connection to Parze’s disappearance.
Following a night out with her family on October 20, Parze dropped off her parents at home, and was never seen alive again. Her parents found her car in the driveway, the lights on at her home, and her cell phone stuffed in a couch, according to multiple reports.
According to an NBC News report, law enforcement sources said Sunday that the remains were “fairly decomposed.” Authorities were expected to use dental records to identify the remains.
The cause of death is not yet known. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
