Fort Lauderdale police are looking for information on the driver of a red Porsche that hit two Norwegian tourists early Thursday morning and fled the scene, sending both to the hospital with serious injuries.
Local 10 News reported that the two tourists were scheduled to leave on a cruise on Saturday with a group of other Norwegians.
Police released security video from an adjacent business that shows a man and a woman walking on the sidewalk and then falling into the street, directly into the path of the oncoming car. The driver sped away without stopping.
NBC Miami said the two were taken to Broward Health Medical Center with serious injuries.
Friends of the pair told Local News 10 that the car left tire marks on the man’s back.
The incident took place shortly after 4 a.m., Local 10 News said.
