CrimeOnline’s Nancy Grace ripped “doomsday cult” mom Lori Vallow Saturday after watching the former Mrs Texas contestant — who refuses to tell authorities where her two missing children are — strut into an Idaho courtroom with bright red lipstick, blue toenail polish, pink handcuffs, and freshly curled blonde hair.
“I’m not a fashion [critic], but while the FBI, the police, and the grandparents are … looking for her children, she has time to put on lipstick?” Grace said on Fox News.
Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 17, haven’t been seen since September. Vallow and her husband Chad Daybell — they married last fall shortly after both their spouses died under mysterious circumstances — fled to Hawaii when police began investigating the children’s disappearance.
Vallow was making her first appearance since her extradition. She’s been charged with two counts of desertion and other felonies. Watching Vallow’s courtroom demeanor, Grace said she was “shocked” as Vallow laughed and joked with her attorneys.
The Idaho judge reduced Vallow’s bail from $5 million to $1 million, meaning it will only take $100,000 cash for her walk out of jail, albeit with an ankle monitor.
“I was shocked because her bail was reduced from $5 million to $1 million,” Grace said. “You know, you’ve only got to put up 10 percent in most jurisdictions to get out and the new husband, Chad Daybell, may do it.”
