The body of a Michigan father who went missing on a fishing trip with his young son last month has been recovered.
Justin Oaks, 29, and his 6-year-old son Jaxson had not been seen since March 29, when the father and son pair set off from the Downriver Marina and Campground in South Rockwood to go fishing. A week later, authorities found the fishing boat but no sign of the man and boy.
According to WDIV, a local fisherman contacted the Brownstown Township Police Department on April 13 to say that he spotted a body in the river near the mouth of Lake Erie. A search team responded to the call and recovered the body, since identified as Justin Oaks.
