Police in Texas are investigating the fatal shooting of a 5-year-old boy who was found dead, with a gunshot wound to the head.
Fox 7 Austin reports that police responded to a residence in Killeen on Tuesday and found the boy unresponsive. First responders attempted to revive the victim, but he was prounounced dead just after noon.
Killeen Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is investigating, and a medical examiner will perform an autopsy to confirm the cause of death. The victim has not been identified, and it is not known at this time if anyone will be criminally charged.
