Police in California are investigating an incident in which a child was found dead in a pool.

KFSN reports that the unidentified child, of unknown age and gender, was found in a pool at a residence in Fresno on Tuesday evening.

Police told the new station that the child had fallen into an empty pool. Investigtors were at the residence overnight to gather evidence.

Authorities have not yet provided any further information about the child’s death. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
