The search for a 3-year-old boy in Texas ended in tragedy when deputies found the little boy’s body in a pond.
According to KBMT, the unidentified 3-year-old boy was reported missing from the Kirbyville home where his parents were house sitting at about 11 a.m. on Thursday.
The boy’s parents reportedly told police that they had seen their son at about 7 a.m. that morning, but when they got out of bed at 9:30 a.m. the boy was gone and the front door of the home was open.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, along with volunteerss, joined the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office for a massive search. Later Thursday, searchers found the boy dead in a pond on the property of the home.
Authorities have not released any further details about the boy’s death or the circumstances of his disappearance.
