At his trial for a botched murder-for-hire plot, convicted felon Joe Exotic nearly got a little too graphic on the stand before his own attorney stopped him, a juror in the trial told CrimeOnline’s Nancy Grace.
The juror, identified only as Kristin, said in the latest episode of Grace’s “A Tiger King Investigation” on Fox Nation that his attorney had asked where he was when he received a particular phone call.
“I think he said he was in Oklahoma City or Edmond or something and so he headed back to the zoo, but they stopped at a motel on the way and filmed a softcore porn,” Kristin said, adding that she was “dumbfounded” that he said it.
The attorney just shook his head, interrupting the answer.
“He said, ‘OK, that’s enough,’” she said.
Joe, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, was found guilty of trying to orchestrate the murder of his nemesis, Carole Baskin, and several federal wildlife charges. He’s serving a 22-year sentence in prison.
Netflix opened a floodgate of interest in the case and Joe with its series ‘Tiger King.” But Kristin told Grace that the story they heard in the courtroom was far different from that heard in the series, as CrimeOnline previously reported.
