Nova Scotia authorities are searching for a 3-year-old who has not been seen since Wednesday after he reportedly wandered off while under his grandmother’s care.
CBC reports that Dylan Ehler was visiting his grandparents in a neighborhood near Queen and Elizabeth streets in Truro, Nova Scotia, when he vanished. The child’s grandfather, Norman Brown, told the outlet that Dylan disappeared after his grandmother “turned her back for a minute.”
Dylan, described as an “active boy,” was last seen in camouflage pants, blue rubber boots, and a winter coat with U.S. flags (pictured).
A search crew is currently focusing on the Salmon River, which lies near the home. No AMBER Alert has been issued because authorities indicated that they do not feel foul play was involved, according to the outlet.
“Truro Police can confirm that the search is continuing to focus on a waterway near the last known sighting of Dylan,” the Truro Police Service said.
On Thursday, Truro police said there were enough searchers at this time and they are not currently seeking volunteers.
