Police ID murder victims after teens filming TikTok video find 2 bodies stuffed in small suitcase: Reports

On Thursday, officials in Washington publicly identified the remains of a man and a woman who were reportedly discovered in suitcases in June.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office said Austin Wenner, 27, and Jessica Lewis, 35 were the two people found dead June 19 off Duwamish Head in Seattle. The coroner determined that Wenner and Lewis were fatally shot on June 16, according to KOMO.

Investigators said Lewis was shot multiple times and Wenner was shot in the torso. Authorities reportedly believe both were homicide victims.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, teenagers filming a TikTok video under a pier discovered one of the bodies in a suitcase. Investigators found the second.

During the video, a group of teens inspect a tiny, closed suitcase sitting on some rocks. They mention a foul smell emanating from the suitcase before opening it — revealing a black bag with unknown contents.

The TikTok video presumably then shows a girl telling a 911 dispatcher about a suspicious suitcase off Alki beach.

The TikTok video mentions that the teens were led to the pier by Randonautica, a phone app that takes users on random adventures in their neighborhood.

Detectives previously said they believe the double slaying was an isolated incident, according to KOMO.

No arrests have been made. A criminal investigation is ongoing.
