Jeffrey Epstein confidante Ghislaine Maxwell is currently jailed in New York City, a week after her arrest on multiple federal charges accusing her of recruiting minors into Epstein’s alleged sex-trafficking ring.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Maxwell is believed to be on suicide watch at the Brooklyn Detention Center, across the river from where Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell last year while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. She was transferred there this week following her July 2 arrest at a luxury hideaway in New Hampshire.
Sources have reportedly said that jail officials are keeping a close eye on Maxwell, and provided her her paper clothing and bedsheets; presumably to minimize the chance she would use clothes or sheets as a suicide device, as Epstein did.
AFP obtained footage of the jail where Maxwell is now in custody. She is set to appear for a bail hearing on Tuesday, July 14.
