A woman has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Pennsylvania toddler who is now presumed dead, according to multiple reports.
KYW-TV reported that a female babysitter was charged with murdering 2-year-old King Hill. While authorities have yet to publicly name the babysitter, sources who spoke with KYW identified her as Tianna Parks.
According to the news outlet, Hill was reported missing by his stepfather on July 7, after the stepfather realized the babysitter didn’t have the boy, though he had entrusted her with her son’s care. The babysitter allegedly claimed she gave Hill to his mother, but the mother said that was not true.
News of the babysitter’s arrest comes hours after Hill’s relatives confirmed to WPVI that authorities are treating the toddler’s disappearance as a recovery mission.
Philadelphia police are scheduled to hold a press conference Monday at 1:45 p.m. King remains unaccounted for as of Monday morning.
