A 25-year-old woman who disappeared after going jogging in Arkansas has been discovered dead two days after she went missing.
Fox 16 Little Rock reports that Sydney Sutherland was found dead Friday afternoon, not far from her home in Jackson County. As CrimeOnline previously reported, Sutherland went for a jog on Wednesday afternoon and never returned home, launching a search involving multiple agencies.
On Friday night, Jackson County Sheriff David Lucas held a press conference and announced the authorities had a suspect in custody. Police have not yet identified the suspect, but said only that he is known to the victim.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Sutherland lived with a boyfriend in Jackson County. Lucas previously said there was no indication of domestic issues.
Authorities have not yet commented on Sutherland’s cause of death. The woman’s body will be examined at the Arkansas Crime Lab.
According to Fox 16 Little Rock, Lucas said there are many details of the ongoing investigation that police cannot yet release to the public.
