“Operation Home Alone 2” nabbed five men on charges related to child sexual exploitation in Arizona — including a former detective who was out on bond after he was arrested on the same charges in February, Homeland Security Investigations reports.
The week-long action was the culmination of a months-long action in Pinal County, similar to several other actions taken recently in Ohio, Georgia, and New Jersey, as reported by CrimeOnline.
Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) detectives led the effort, which included other local, state, and federal agencies and targeted “sexual predators who attempted to lure underage children with the intent of engaging in sexual activity.”
The five men arrested were identified as Ryan Kellerman, 36; Daniel May, 40; Matthew Salley, 38; Christopher Butts, 44; and Jordan Holloway, 26.
Butts is a former Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office detective who was arrested in February on charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and furnishing harmful items to a minor, the same charges he faces now.
All four of the other suspects were charged with luring a minor for sexual exploitation. Kellerman was also charged with furnishing harmful items to a minor and is a suspect in a child pornography case being investigated by the Maricopa Police Department.
All of the men are from Maricopa, except Butts, who lives in Phoenix.
All five are being held at the Pinal County Jail.
