According to Tift County coroner, Melissa Carrol, 9-year-old Alazia “Ally” Johnson was found dead at the Peterson Apartments in Tifton. WALB News 10 reports that the scene at the apartment complex was “chaotic” following the child’s death, with the community in an uproar.
Authorities said the little girl was stabbed to death. Her mother said she came home from work to find her daughter dead.
“I have to work to support my kids. I had to go to work that night. And I just came home and found my baby,” Ally’s mother, Tegina Brown, told the outlet.
“I just want them to find whoever did this. I want them to pay for this. She was my baby, my only girl; my best friend. We talked about everything together.”
