Authorities have identified the victims and the suspect in a horrific killing that took the lives of a young mother and her unborn child.
KSLA reports that authorities have confirmed the identity of the pregnant woman murdered in Texas last week: 21-year-old Reagan Hancock was over 8 months pregnant with her second child when the suspect allegedly cut the unborn baby out of Hancock’s body at her home in East Boston on Friday.
The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Taylor Parker of Simms, Texas. According to KSLA, Parker went to a hospital in Oklahoma with the unresponsive newborn via ambulance, telling emergency responders that the baby wasn’t breathing. The baby did not survive.
Parker has since been charged with kidnapping and murder of an unborn child, though further charges are expected, Fox News report.

According to the Fox News report, Hancock’s husband works for a lawn care company, and the business owners have organized one of two fundraisers to help the grieving family. According to a message posted on that fundraiser page, the woman accused of killing the mother and child was someone Reagan Hancock “considered a friend.”
Reagan’s mother told Fox News that her daughter was due to give birth on November 1o, but had recently “started seeing signs that she was so close to having her.”
“We just want our beautiful baby remembered and known for the amazing person she was and for people to see she did not deserve this,” the victim’s mother said.
Authorities have not yet commented on a motive or the circumstances of the murder, and little is known about the relationship between Hancock and Parker.
