The Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office in Florida confirmed Monday that Stephanie Hollingsworth was found deceased inside a submerged SUV in Orange County.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Hollingsworth left her home in the Orlando suburb of Belle Isle on September 25 to run errands. She withdrew $20 cash from a nearby Bank of America drive-through off of Hoffner Avenue and Goldenrod Road at 2 p.m. She was in a 2000 champagne-colored Chevy Tahoe with Florida license plate Y50XUR.
Family members said she left her cellphone at home. She was last seen in a black shirt and black or grey pants.
A video that surfaced earlier this month showed Hollingsworth as she walked down a Walmart aisle in Orlando, off of South Goldenrod Road, on September 25.
Searchers utilizing a drone found Hollingsworth’s SUV in a retention pond in east Orange County. Authorities haven’t specified whether foul play was involved, but cleared Hollingsworth’s husband and immediate family as suspects earlier this month.
A cause of death has not yet been released.
