A Michigan man and woman are behind bars after opening fire in front of a Detroit home on Sunday.
Click on Detroit reports that the incident happened at around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, when an unnamed man, 21, and woman, 26, got confronted a woman at a residence off of Magenta Street and began arguing with the woman’s boyfriend.
At some point during the argument, someone called a baby “ugly,” which led to at least 16 shots being fired into the home by the male suspect.
“I wasn’t prepared for what I saw,” neighbor Larry Turner, who recorded the incident, said. “You’re making decisions quickly. You know the moment you see somebody, what they’re thinking. But he just kept making poor decisions.”
New York Post reports that the pair fled in a white Pontiac but police found the vehicle and arrested the couple shortly after. A 6-month-old baby was reportedly inside the car.
No one in the home was injured, according to police.
Both suspects are behind bars at the Detroit Detention Center, awaiting criminal charges.
Anyone with additional information about the case should contact the Detroit Police Department’s Eighth Precinct’s Investigative Unit at 313-596-5840 or call Crime Stoppers at 800-Speak Up.
