Police in Mississippi arrested two people last week after a baby was reportedly born in deplorable conditions.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Department said deputies were dispatched to a mobile home in Gunstown several times since November 3, amid reports of a possible newborn requiring medical attention. Police said they returned to the residence on the evening of November 4 and discovered a baby requiring “immediate medical attention.” They ultimately learned the baby was born at the residence days two days earlier.
