An 11-year-old Washington state boy is dead, stabbed to death by an older brother twice his age, police in Renton say.
Officers were called to a street corner in the city’s Highlands neighborhood just after noon, the Seattle Times reported, where they found the boy wounded, on the sidewalk.
The boy was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, Renton Police Detective Robert Onishi said, but died before reaching the hospital.

Onishi said several people in the area called 911, and the boy’s 22-year-old brother and mother were on the scene when police arrived. Officers took the brother into custody.
Police have not released the family’s identity.
A statement from Renton police said that the incident began at a nearby home when the older brother “made threats to the younger brother and then chased him down the street for about a block before catching and attacking him.”
