Police in Washington, D.C., are looking for a suspect they say attacked a police officer on Saturday.
The Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement that the incident occurred in the 1600 block of K Street, Northwest. The suspect was reportedly fighting another individual when an on-duty officer intervened.
Police alleged the unidentified suspect struck the officer with an unknown object. The officer was subsequently hospitalized for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Law Enforcement Today noted that at the time of Saturday’s altercation, Proud Boys held a pro-Trump rally in the capital that turned violent. Reports indicated that four people were stabbed and at least 23 people were arrested.
A $10,000 reward is being offered for information in this case.
