California authorities identified an adult female’s body found in a canal as a Manteca mom reported missing last week.
CBS Sacramento reports that Chenin Carlson failed to show up at her new job on Saturday, prompting her family to contact authorities. On Sunday, fishermen at the Tracy aqueduct in San Joaquin County discovered a female body floating in the area. On Wednesday, the body was positively identified.
According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department, Carlson’s death is being treated as a homicide.
Authorities are now searching for Carlson’s vehicle, a 2008 Grey Honda Pilot with California license plate #7FIE245.
