Mississippi authorities are investigating a gruesome incident that left two people and an unborn baby dead, and a toddler in unknown condition.
Fox 19 NOW reports that a man went to a home off of Chestnut Alley in Canton at around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, to find another man shot in the back of the head. The man called 911.
When deputies arrived, they discovered a woman who was eight months pregnant shot in the face. Deputies also found a 1-year-old toddler girl shot in the face.
The adult victims have been identified as Maudilia Martina Ramirez Garcia, 19, and 20-year-old Faustino Ramirez Garcia, according to Canton Police Chief Otha Brown. The toddler, whose name is unknown, was rushed to an area hospital.
Another man in the home reportedly hid in the closest while the shootings took place. He was unharmed.
Authorities said robbery appears to be the motive. No suspects have been named at this time.
