Update: Mother’s boyfriend arrested for MURDER after police find tot boy dead in dumpster

Wyoming authorities made an arrest in connection with the death of a 2-year-old Cheyenne boy, who was found deceased inside a dumpster.

According to the Cheyenne Police Department, 27-year-old Wyatt Lamb was initially taken into custody on a warrant for failure to appear and parole violation. Later, he was charged with murder and aggravated child abuse, in connection with the death of his girlfriend’s toddler son, Athian Rivera.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, authorities found Athian’s body in a dumpster at an apartment complex in Cheyenne, in the 400 block of Desmet Drive, on Friday evening. The boy was last seen alive hours earlier on Friday, in the 500 block of Desmet Drive.

So far, little has been revealed surrounding the circumstances of the incident. Authorities have not yet divulged the cause and manner of death.

“This is an active investigation,” Cheyenne Police Department spokesperson, Alexandra Farkas, said. “There is no danger to the public.”
