Investigators in Philadelphia have discovered the body of a missing pregnant woman who had not been seen alive since March 30.
According to WPVI, police found a body in a wooded area in Philadelphia on Monday night, and have since positively identified the decedent as 21-year-old Dianna Brice of Lansdowne. Brice had a young child and was pregnant at the time of her disappearance and death.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Brice was last seen at a laundromat a week ago with her mother, and later met with her boyfriend, 23-year-old Justin Smith. Reports indicate that Smith may have met her at the same laundromat, though the couple appears to have left the business. When Brice’s concerned mother called Smith after her daughter did not come home later that day, Smith reportedly said the couple had gotten into an argument.
“He goes, ‘She don’t want to even talk to me.’ I said, ‘I don’t care, she’s pregnant with your child,'” Brice’s mother Betty Cellini said in an interview with WPVI.
Shortly after Brice was reported missing, police found Smith’s car on fire near 59th and Florence in Philadelphia. According to WPVI, Brice’s body was discovered within a mile of where Smith’s car was found, and Smith remains missing.
Police have not yet publicly named any suspects in Brice’s death.
